Flagship Aviation Services and SoftBank Robotics America have expanded a partnership that began in 2024. According to an FMLink report of 1 October 2026, Flagship's programme has grown in under two years from 100 robots at 15 locations to more than 200 robots at 25 locations, at major US airports.

What the numbers say about scale

The partners say the fleet has passed 100,000 operating hours and is closing in on 500 million square feet of cleaned floor, roughly 46 million square metres. On average that is close to a million square feet a day. The robots can run around the clock and work alongside travellers, including at peak times. The article names Omnie and the V40 among the newer models.

The machines sweep, scrub and mop hard floors and vacuum carpets. Flagship says the robots keep cleanliness at a consistent level, which leaves staff more time for restrooms, boarding gates and other areas that need human judgement. Its chief operating officer calls autonomous cleaning a tool that helps teams work more efficiently.

For a business buyer, the trajectory matters more than the headline count: this is gradual expansion with one large operator, not a one-off pilot. Keep in mind that the figures come from the companies themselves, and the article offers no independent check and no numbers on savings or payback.
