HotelsIn a hotel robots do three jobs: deliver to rooms, clean corridors and the breakfast area, and mow the lawn around the building. Most of the work falls in the hours when guests are absent.
Restaurants and cafesA robot carries plates from the kitchen to the table and empties back, and after closing a scrubbing robot goes over the floor of the room. Staff stay with the guest.
OfficesAn office floor is cleaned outside working hours, and a robot at reception takes the repetitive visitor questions. Carpet and hard floor call for two different machines.
Shops and shopping centresScrubbing machines work among customers, and an information robot stands at the entrance. The area is large and the opening hours long, so the work is split between day and night. From the catalogue
